In the field of automation we have many years of experience — from controlling large production lines and single-purpose machines, through programming robots, developing custom electronic devices, to data collection, image processing and the use of deep learning. Most recently, we have expanded this expertise to include mobile application development — with the goal of delivering even greater convenience and flexibility to our customers.

Practical example: Mobile app with barcode scanning and an API server

As a demonstration of our solution’s capabilities, we developed our own API server with secure authentication, to which a mobile app sends data from scanned barcodes — including types such as QR codes and DataMatrix.

The application is built on the modern cross-platform framework .NET MAUI, which allows deployment to all major platforms: Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS and Android.

With this solution we can monitor and control production lines directly from tablets and smartphones, without the need for specialized hardware.

Main features of the application:

• Scanning of all common barcode types directly from a mobile device.
• Secure data transfer to the server with token-based authentication/authorization.
• Offline mode with local data storage and subsequent synchronization.
• Modern user interface with a flyout menu, status bar and notifications.
• Secure storage of login credentials in Secure Storage.
